1. Design your plate(s), ensuring you use each necessary box.

2.  Only when you are 100% happy with your design, choose "Plate Type" then click "Add to Basket", then "Checkout".

3.  On the next page, simply fill in your full name and address and your required postage method then click "Confirm Order & Choose Payment Method".

4.  Click on Paypal and pay with either your credit / debit card or Paypal account if you have one.

Sit back and wait 2 business days (maximum) for delivery.

We have been making number plates / showplates for over 3 years now, and we sell both to private buyers and we have a number of independent car dealers and motorbike dealers on our books.  So, rest assured, whether you are wanting a standard car number plate or an amazing looking  motorbike showplate, we are your people!

All our  car and motorbike number plates / show plates comply with BS standards, but as they are purchased on the internet as ShowPlates, we are unable to show the BS number on any plate sold on this site (unless you are cheeky and can work out where to put it yourself).  Also, the makers name (Yorkshire Plates) will not be displayed on the number plates, again, this is because they are sold as Showplates.

Important note: You or the person you are buying for must already own the registration number you will use to create your number plate. Yorkshire Plates do not sell registration numbers, we simply make car and motorbike number plates.

To summarise the law on car number plates, your registration is to be spaced as per your V5 (Vehicle registration document).  The only legal badge is a "country identifier" to be displayed on the left of the plate.  You may have a border but you cannot display your own lettering either above the reg or below it and you are not allowed to have a background image.

To summarise the law on motorbike number plates, the legal size plate is a 9 x 7.  As like car number plates, you are only permitted to have a country identifier and it has to be half size, at the left of the bottom line of text.  Again, you are allowed a border but no additional wording above or below you reg and no background image is permitted.

For both car number plates  and motorbike number plates, there are only 4 permitted type styles (fonts) - Car / Bike Standard, 3D, High Line and Carbon.

If you decided to deviate from any of the above, the number plates will then be deemed as showplates / show plates.  This is done only at your risk.  We supply to order and Yorkshire Plates cannot be responsible for any fines / warnings received as a result of  car showplates / motorbike showplates.  However, if you do require Legal Car / Bike Number Plates, we have created a page just for them HERE
